The International Space Station Minus Russia

In a move that can be seen as symbolic, as well as adversarial, the Russian Federation announces Roscosmos, its space agency, will be ending its participation in the ISS cooperative space venture. Sometime after 2024, the new Russian space agency director says, will be — ‘the end’

 

 

Russia to withdraw from International Space Station

So soon there will be … 3 space stations in earth orbit. The current U.S. led station with its some 13 partners, then there will be the Chinese space station venture (“Palace in the Sky”), and an unnamed Russian venture, a space station to be launched at a time yet to be determined.
