No Kings Protests

In Washington DC

 

On a weekend before a new golden Ballroom planned by the president to attach to the White House begins construction with demolition at the East Wing building, a nationwide series of “No Kings” protests takes place across the nation.

Estimates of between 7 and 8 million people demonstrated peacefully, exercising constitutionally protected First Amendment rights of freedom of speech.

In DC, many  photos captured the scene in front of the nation’s Capitol building.

Next year marks the 250th anniversary of the United States to be celebrated on July 4, 2026 — It will be 250 years since the Declaration of Independence rejected the authority of King George and the ways of authoritarianism.
